Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Split For Now

3:37 AM |
Kristen Stewart Robert PattinsonKristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's three-plus-year relationship hit a rough patch last summer, after incriminating photos surfaced of Stewart with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders.

And though the pair were seen holding hands at Coachella just last month, new reports suggest that the "Twilight" co-stars are taking a break from their real-life romance.

A source tells People that they've called it quits, but says "it would not be surprising" if Pattinson, 27, and Stewart, 23, got back together again.

Us Weekly is also reporting the split, with Pattinson insiders claiming the couple had been "having problems" and "fighting a lot."

Friday, HollywoodLife reported that Pattinson bailed on his own 27th birthday bash, which Stewart had arranged.

Stewart and Pattinson had been famously coy about their relationship prior to Stewart's cheating scandal with Sanders in July 2012, which prompted her to release a heartfelt apology.
"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," she said in a statement to People at the time. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

A request for comment to Stewart's rep by The Huffington Post was not immediately answered.

'Star Trek Into Darkness' Slightly Underperforms, 'Iron Man 3' Continues To Earn Big

3:35 AM |
Weekend Box Office Star Trek Into Darkness"Star Trek Into Darkness" soared to No. 1 at the box office this weekend as expected, but its $84.1 million intake fell slightly short of studio expectations. The four-day tally, as reported by Box Office Mojo, failed to snag the $100 million Paramount Pictures hoped to rack up. It also falls just short of the $86.7 million that 2009's "Star Trek" managed to collect during its four-day overture.
J.J. Abrams' sci-fi sequel, with a reported budget of $190 million, earned an additional $40 million overseas, bringing its international total to $164.6 million. The movie's traditional Friday-to-Sunday weekend revenue came in at $70.6 million.

While nowhere near a commercial disappointment, the slight downturn "Star Trek" saw on its first weekend further underscores what a megahit "Iron Man 3" is. Despite seeing a 51.5 percent hit from its previous week in theaters, the Marvel Studios threequel's added $35.2 million catapults it to No. 25 on the list of the highest-grossing domestic films of all time. Its total gross now sits at $337.1 million domestically and more than $1 billion globally.

"The Great Gatsby," in its second weekend in theaters, nabbed $23.4 million, bringing its collective gross to $90.2 million. Still a decided hit, the Baz Luhrmann-directed rendition of the iconic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel has seen a slightly more tepid reaction than expected, given the massive buzz the movie saw in the weeks leading up to its release. "Iron Man 3" prevented the glitzy "Gatsby" from securing the top spot at the box office during the latter film's first weekend in theaters. Perhaps plagued by mixed reviews, "Gatsby" has yet to earn enough revenue to match its reported $105 million budget.

Rounding out the weekend's top five movies are Michael Bay's "Pain and Gain," which is in its fourth week of being one of the top grossers, and "The Croods," which jumped to No. 5 this weekend after falling to No. 7 last weekend. "Gain" took in $3.1 million, bringing its total to $46.6 million. "The Croods" added $2.75 million, upping its gross to $176.8 million.
The weekend's only new release other than "Star Trek Into Darkness" was Noah Baumbach's well-received indie gem "Frances Ha," which opened in only four theaters to a $134,000 profit.

3:32 AM |

Romanthony, born Anthony Moore, reportedly died in his Austin, Texas, home May 7. According to Spin, he passed away due to complications of kidney disease, and was 45 years old.
According to Chicago's 5 Magazine, it was singer Daone Remmidy (aka Eve Angel) who first broke the news of Romanthony's death on Facebook several days ago, writing, "Our Music Industry has lost yet another pioneer and music legend, I am deeply saddened to Announce the Passing our my Label Owner, Producer, Manager, and Family. Ben Affleck Watches Bill Hader And Fred Armisen Say Goodbye

3:03 AM |
snl ben affleck
Bill Hader and Fred Armisen are officially gone. As for Jason Sudeikis, who really knows at this point? I would assume that, right now, he doesn't know for sure either. But I have a hard time believing that, if he were leaving, he wouldn't have been waving to the crowd along with Hader and Armisen during the goodnights. Or at least have had one goodbye sketch, something that Hader and Armisen each provided last night in completely different ways.
Yes, it was a bittersweet show, a show during which the host, the amicable Ben Affleck, was almost an afterthought (which was kind of played to during a monologue in which he joined the five timers club, yet only Bobby Moynihan wearing a "5" t-shirt congratulated him). Yet, for as bittersweet as the undertones of the show were, it still played like your average installment of "Saturday Night Live." There wasn't an endless parade of Bill Hader and Fred Armisen's greatest hits -- Herb Welch and Nicholas Fehn were nowhere to be seen. Instead, both men left as they arrived, standouts of the ensemble, without overshadowing the cast. A fitting sendoff.
Off we go to your last "SNL" Scorecard for quite some time ...
Sketch of the Night
"Weekend Update" (Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Ben Affleck, Anderson Cooper) Before we get to Stefon, it must be pointed out how well Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler work together. That was far from the best "Really?!?" that these two have been a part of and it's already a highlight from this past season.
As for Stefon, that was pretty perfect. Not only did we get one last hurrah with Stefon behind the "Update" desk, but the proceedings then morphed into a sketch about Stefon's wedding to Anderson Cooper -- a wedding with pretty much every character that Stefon has ever described over the last four seasons. (It was basically the last episode of "Seinfeld," only done well.) A wedding that also included Gordon Shumway (or ALF, if we must) and Ben Affleck returning as Stefon's brother. (Stefon's first appearance on "SNL" was in a 2008 sketch in which Affleck played his brother.) Sure, Stefon was overused over the past four seasons (this was his 17th appearance), but it would have been ludicrous to not have him appear in Hader's last show and this really was the perfect sendoff.

Score: 10

The Good
"Top of the Pops" (Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis, Taran Killam, Carrie Brownstein, Steve Jones, Kim Gordon, J Mascis, Michael Penn, Aimee Mann) I was worried about how Armisen's departure would be handled. Most of Armisen's best-known recurring characters are "Weekend Update" characters, which would have been sadly overshadowed by the Stefon proceedings. Armisen, singing as Ian Rubbish, certainly didn't provide anything as bombastic as the time Darrell Hammond left while Will Ferrell sang him off with "Goodnight Saigon" -- instead, it was a poignant moment, as "SNL" and "Portlandia" combined right there in front of us. I wouldn't go as far to say that Armisen has looked bored the last couple of seasons of "SNL," but he's certainly been itching to do some more experimental things. Though, there's no doubt how Armisen feels about "SNL," it was right there on his guitar strap: "TY LM I <3 u."

Score: 9.5
"New Xanax" (Cecily Strong, Taran Killam, Vanessa Bayer, Bobby Moynihan, Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon) I am still laughing at the site of Bill Hader dancing aimlessly in front of the choreographed Beyoncé performance. (Honestly, this happen to me at any wedding.) It was interesting -- there were two gay-themed sketches last night and it really showed the contrast of how to do one right (this one) and how to do one wrong (see: The Ugly).

Score: 8.0
"Hermes" (Vanessa Bayer, Cecily Strong, Ben Affleck) Fine! These are starting to make me laugh. At least, for whatever reason, this one was my favorite so far. Bayer and Strong now certainly have the timing down. (And, as opposed to past installments, it didn't seem like it went on for 10 minutes.) I think it was important on a night like last night to showcase what "SNL" will still have to offer after losing such important cast members -- this helped to do that.

Score: 7.0
"Ben Affleck Monologue" (Ben Affleck, Bobby Moynihan, Jennifer Garner) The previously mentioned fact that Affleck was a bit of an afterthought as host is played up here, pretty well actually. (You know, they could have at least had Elliott Gould show up to say, "Congratulations.") Anyway, the main gist is that Affleck said something weird about marriage during his Oscar acceptance speech and, let's face it, on the list of "weird things that have been said during Oscar acceptance speeches," this seems pretty low. Regardless, Affleck looked like he was happy to be there.

Score: 6.5
"Iranian Film" (Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Bobby Moynihan, Ben Affleck) It was nice to see Armisen's Ahmadinejad one last time, even though he's pretty far down on the list of Armisen characters that I'd like to see. But this certainly wasn't a "Let's do it for Fred" type sketch -- it was more of a "Let's let Affleck be self-deprecating about 'Argo'" sketch, which would have been much more potent a couple of months ago. Alas. Though, this sketch was worth it just for one last "Gigli" reference. (It's just too bad Armisen's Frondi wasn't there to share in that reference.)

Score: 6.2
"Cops" (Bill Hader, Ben Affleck, Kate McKinnon, Nasim Pedrad, Tim Robinson, Fred Armisen, Taran Killam, Jason Sudeikis, Bobby Moynihan) This is one of those strange sketches that, for some reason, gets funnier as it keeps going. (Unfortunately, it's not online because they sang three seconds of the "Cops" theme song, I guess?) For no other reason, it was just nice to see a good portion of the cast together one last time, getting to make funny noises in an attempt to make each other laugh. Why not?
Score: 6.0

The Bad
"Greg's Funeral" (Jason Sudeikis, Ben Affleck, Tim Robinson, Cecily Strong, Kate McKinnon, Taran Killam, Nasim Pedrad, Jay Pharoah) There was a good sketch in there somewhere, but in the end, it was just a straightforward sketch about a guy who fakes his own death, then defends himself at his funeral. This sketch was just screaming for some sort of a twist on what isn't a very inspired idea -- by the end, I was hoping Kevin Hart would show up and ask "Is it a Z Shirt?"

Score: 5.0
"Cold Open: Politics Nation" (Kenan Thompson, Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader) You know, this past week hasn't been the greatest week of Barack Obama's presidency. For the life of me, I can't understand how the cold open wasn't Pharoah as Obama doing something. And if the goal here was to have a sketch with Kenan, Hader and Sudeikis, why not just do one last "What's Up With That?" Alas, this was quite the dud to start the show.

Score: 5.0
"Depression Scene" (Bill Hader, Ben Affleck, Kate McKinnon) I'm not sure what happened here: I was ready for something pretty terrific because the scene was certainly set -- then, nothing. I certainly laughed when Hader's out of work bozo balks at the idea of being at work at 8 a.m., which is a funny premise, but unfortunately, it took an odd turn -- realizing Hader and McKinnon were criminals instead of just lazy. Anyway, I'm not exactly sure what the point was supposed to be here, other than Hader and McKinnon can still be funny even without the best material.

Score: 4.5

The Ugly
"Camp" (Ben Affleck, Bobby Moynihan, Aidy Bryant, Kenan Thompson, Vanessa Bayer, Taran Killam, Jay Pharoah) Here's a sketch that at least pretended that it had something to say, but really didn't say anything. It was just lacking any sort of real bite and seemed more like an excuse for the cast to act "flamboyant" than to really try to say anything important. And, sure, it's not really the job of "SNL" to have to say something important, but if they're going to set up a premise with something that is extremely controversial (even though no one in his or her right mind believes a camp that turns someone straight "works"), it would be nice if it had at least some sort of clever message other than Affleck and Killam almost kissing.
(Is not online due to song rights issues.)
Score: 2.5

Lana Del Rey's 'Queen Of Disaster' Leaks

2:57 AM |
Lana Del Rey Queen Of DisasterGood news, Lana Del Rey fans! A new single from the sultry singer has leaked.
Called "Queen of Disaster," the track made its way online this weekend. "You’re the king and baby, I’m the queen of disaster, disaster," Del Rey croons in the track -- take a listen above.

The 26-year-old singer has become a polarizing figure, the subject of much celebration and disdain. Del Rey recently spoke about the criticism that she receives, explaining that the harsh words make her want to return to her past drinking habits.

"I feel like my work's important, but I don't always feel like I get respect for it," she told Canada's Fashion magazine. "I don't believe in the school of hard knocks, although I've had them. All that stuff about whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger is so not true."

Watch the video below: "When I feel like people don't like [my] music and that the 10 years I spent making what I made was not for a good reason, that makes me want to drink again," Del Rey added.

Justin Bieber Booed At Billboard Music Awards

2:51 AM |
Justin Bieber Booed
Justin Bieber was booed at the Billboard Music Awards, despite winning two awards and performing twice.
The "Beauty and the Beat" singer was accepting the Milestone Award when the crowd seemed to erupt in boos. Looking a bit confused, Bieber went on to assert that he thinks only the "craft" and his music should be considered, arguing that "none of the other bull" mattered. While it's unclear what Bieber was referencing, he has had a number of bad public relations moments as of late, having lost his temper with the paparazzi in London and being caught smoking marijuana.
"This is not a gimmick," Bieber said. "I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously.”
Bieber beat out a number of other artists, including Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift for the award. The Milestone Award was actually Bieber’s second trophy of the night. He also took home “Top Male Artist.”
It's unfortunately not the first time Bieber has been booed. He's previously encountered a similar reaction at a Canadian Football Game, a New York Knicks basketball game and at one of his own concerts, where he arrived hours late.
Other wild moments from the evening included Miguel coming up short on a jump move and landing on an audience member's neck, Nicki Minaj giving Lil Wayne a lapdance and Prince closing out the show with a killer performance.

Miguel's Jumps On Fan's Neck At Billboard Music Awards

2:49 AM |
Miguel Jump Kick Fail
The Billboard Music Awards isn't always the jazziest award show of the year, but Sunday's program featured at least one standout moment. R&B crooner Miguel jump kicked from one part of the stage to another during his performance of "Adorn," falling more than a bit short and landing on an audience member's head and/or neck.

Miguel adressed the incident on Twitter, noting that he "got caught up in the moment."

Miguel
got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay
Billboard writer Erika Ramirez assured viewers that the audience member was OK:

'Vampire Diaries' star understands fans passion

11:38 AM |

'Vampire Diaries' star understands fans passion photo"The Vampire Diaries" is known for its twists and turns, and one of its stars, Ian Somerhalder, says Thursday night's season finale won't be any different.

"Elena's gonna make a big decision," teased the 34-year-old actor at CW's presentation of its programming for next season. He couldn't elaborate on what decision or decisions would be made.
The series is set in a fictional Virginia town where vampires, werewolves and witches live among humans (though not exactly peacefully). At the heart of the series is a love triangle among vampire brothers Damon (Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), who both love Elena (Nina Dobrev).
The show, which has been on the air since 2009, has a passionate fan following, and Somerhalder said Thursday that he feels that investment almost everywhere he goes.
"I was in Toronto yesterday and people were coming up to me, men, women, children, literally some of them in tears, bludgeoning me with what's gonna happen (on the show). ... People are very, very affected. I'm very curious to see what the reaction is (to the season finale)."

Somerhalder's character struck a particular chord with viewers. Introduced as an antagonistic vampire, he's softened some over the years, largely due to his love for Elena.
Initially, he wasn't sure about Damon losing some of his edge.
"Damon has to care about something sometimes, and I always wanted to stay the bad guy, and (series co-creator) Kevin Williamson had to pound it into my head that we didn't want Damon to be a one-trick pony. I disagreed, but over time I realized (the writers) were right and you need a layered, dynamic character," Somerhalder said.
"The Vampire Diaries" has a spinoff series, "The Originals," that will air on Tuesdays beginning this fall.

Police were called to a Hannaford store in the Big Apple after this guy was caught on camera rubbing 'a packaged stick of pepperoni on his exposed penis' before putting it back on the shelf for the unsuspecting public to purchase.

In case you missed it (which is very unlikely) and want to feel like you were right there in the room like Caroline was yesterday, here's video of the One D boys announcing the details of their Where We Are World Tour for 2014. They also try on loads of different jerseys and have a kick about. But look, you get to marvel at their hair (which Caroline assures us is amazingly coiffed in person) and see how dreamy Harry is (again, this is word from Caroline's mouth, who you can see if you pause it at just the right moment). But most importantly, they were all wearing the Irish rugby jersey at one point.
Technically we own them now, right?

Uche Jombo: Abortion Scandal Story Forced Tears From My Eyes

6:56 AM |
Uche Jombo is one actress that has suffered a lot from negative stories. At a point, she was scandalized with an alleged abortion story, which shook the industry. She went to the extent of suing the magazine and journalist that published the story to a court of law.

Her reported failed relationship with Super Eagles footballer, Kalu Uche went viral in the media. Her eventual marriage to America-based Puerto Rican lover, Kenny Rodriguez was also marred by controversies, when it was secretly held in the USA.

The late release of the wedding pictures stirred controversies in the media again until she released them more than one month after the union was solemnized.

Speaking with Nigeriafilms.com on the story that forced tears out of her eyes, the Abiriba, Abia State-born movie star said that abortion was one of the stories that ‘achieved that aim’.

“I have had worse (the abortion story),” Uche Jombo said forcefully. “That one was just big because it was the one I took to court,” she continued, adding that, “because I don’t understand why anybody would sit down and fabricate something that would hurt another human being without any shrewd.”

“Even if you don’t have a sister, you might marry tomorrow and have a girl child. Anytime anybody writes, I always say, drop your pen and just imagine you being that person. If what you’ve written is the truth, you are justified. If it is not the truth, the person needs not go anywhere to swear for you, law of karma would just take care of you,” the actress-c*m-producer fumed.
