Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo said "I do" to Candice Crawford on Saturday in Dallas, Texas, a source confirmed to Us Weekly.
According to local news station WFAA, 600 guests attended the couple's nuptials at Arlington Hall. An insider told Us R&B singer Ashanti was there to celebrate the newlyweds' big day.
The NFL star began dating Chace Crawford's kid sister in the summer of 2009. Romo, 31, proposed to Crawford in December 2010 on her 24th birthday. The next month Candice's brother Chace, 25, told E! News: "I'm very excited! I'm very happy that she's happy."
Crawford, a former beauty Queen, was Miss Missouri USA in 2008. The University of Missouri grad worked as a local news reporter in Texas and now co-hosts The RC Project with Roni Proter, a Dallas news show forecasting fashion trends.
Romo and Crawford's out of town guests were provided with a welcoming gift bag orchestrated by celebrity party planner Todd Fiscus of Todd Events. Fiscus told Us the custom-made bag, bearing the couple's initials, was filled with luxury treats including a Neiman Marcus gift card, assorted cookies mini-bottle of Champagne, chocolates, gourmet popcorn and Kiehl's beauty products.
Romo famously dated Jessica Simpson for nearly two years; he ended their relationship in July 2009, the night before her 29th birthday. Before Simpson, he also romanced Carrie Underwood and actress Sophia Bush.
Simpson, 30, got engaged to another footballer, Eric Johnson, in November 2010. She confirmed her good news days after ex-hubby Nick Lachey announced his own engagement to Vanessa Minillo after four years of on-and-off dating.
