Singer/rapper/producer Tha Suspect doesn’t come off as your conventional music maker. Associating himself with street themes and social topics, the artiste has always found a way to communicate his songs to his listeners.
But Suspect has experimented with his style one too many times, this leaves the problem of switching his fan base from time to time. However, he does good music so it poses little threat.
‘Malaysia’ a satire sung and produced around the Afrobeat genre (I’m guessing Fela’s music played a huge inspiration here) isn’t a bad effort at all. Blaring trumpet sounds and and a sing-along chorus does the right job.
