The cast of 'Jersey Shore' isn't terribly popular with some Italian-Americans, who feel that JWoww, The Situation, Snooki and the crew represent some ugly stereotypes. The show is now filming in Florence, Italy, and 'Today'  found a lot of Italian-Italians aren't so hot on 'Jersey Shore' either. They asked some people in the street their opinions and spoke with the mayor of Florence, who had trouble understanding what a "Snooki" was.

"They are full of tattoo, they get drunk," one woman in the street said. "I think they are stupid." Another woman said that Italians are not like the 'Jersey Shore' cast does on television.

The mayor of Florence thought perhaps the arts could save The Situation on the rest of the 'Jersey Shore' crew. Save them for what, in particular? He didn't say.

After publicly battling body image issues and eating disorders, Demi Lovato took the plunge and tweeted a photo of herself in an itsy bitsy, bare it all white bikini.

"I've been working so hard to get healthy and fit.. I can't believe I'm about to do this but I'm so excited," the Disney star nervously tweeted before posting the pic.

At lot has changed for Lovato in the past several months. She left her fame-making Disney channel show, 'Sonny With a Chance,' entered rehab to deal with physical and emotional issues and admitted to suffering from bipolar disorder.

"I never thought I'd ever feel confident enough to ever [do] that," she tweeted. "I'm excited how far I've come since being completely ashamed of my body."

Now the daring diva has one less thing to hide -- her rockin' body. But the actress also admitted that she isn't through with battling her demons.

"It hasn't been easy, but it starts with a commitment to yourself.. Your mind.. And your soul," she continued. "And trust me, I'm still working at it!!"

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, announced Monday night that they are separating. The political power couple released a statement saying:

"This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship.

"We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives. We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public."

Ashton Kutcher will officially step in for Charlie Sheen on “Two and a Half Men,” CBS announced on Friday.

It marks a prime-time homecoming for Kutcher, who first got his start as a member of “That ’70s Show,” before leaving that FOX series to focus on a big-screen career.

Kutcher expressed his excitement about joining the cast of the long-running sitcom and even had kind words for the man he is ostensibly replacing.

“I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people,” Kutcher said in a statement.

Chuck Lorre, the show’s creator who has feuded with the troubled Sheen prior to his firing last spring, expressed relief that the series would not fall victim to the former star’s public meltdown.

Chuck Lorre, the show’s creator and executive producer, said in a statement, “We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton joining our family. … Added to that is the deep sigh of relief knowing that our family stays together. If I was any happier, it’d be illegal.”

Sheen was fired from the series in March after engaging in increasingly bizarre behavior and reportedly struggling with substance abuse. He is currently suing Lorre and Warner Bros. TV for $100 million over the termination.

A number of names had been tossed around as possible replacements since Sheen’s ouster. Most recently, “About a Boy” actor Hugh Grant was offered the part. Grant reportedly dropped out due to creative differences, though the fact that he was offered well under $1 million an episode — far less than Sheen — might also have had something to do with his reluctance.

Moving to “Two and a Half Men” could be a wise career move for Kutcher. Though he has scored a few modest hits with “Dude, Where’s My Car?” and as a member of the ensemble film “Valentine’s Day,” many of his most recent movies, such as “Killers,” have stumbled at the box office.

He has also kept a hand in the television world, as co-creator and producer of MTV’s hit series “Punk’d,” and The CW’s reality series “Beauty and the Geek” and “True Beauty.”

Production on the ninth season of the hit show will resume this summer for broadcast in the fall.

On Thursday, Kutcher hinted he was joining “Two and a Half Men” after The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that he would take Charlie Sheen’s place.

“What’s the square root of 6.25?” he tweeted. The answer is 2.5.

THR quoted an individual close to the negotiations as saying the agreement will result in a “huge payday” for Kutcher. (Sheen made $1.8 million per episode.)

B.E.A.T Band

The 10th edition of Star Quest, the popular music talent hunt ended on Saturday, May 7, 2011 as B.E.A.T band were voted the most popular band and declared winners.

The grand finale, which took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos was lit up with beautiful performances from the finalists B.E.A.T, Harmonics and Storm bands as the all gave two performances each.

But it was B.E.A.T who gathered the highest number of votes from fans within and outside Nigeria; clinching the top spot and immediately earning the title ‘Star Quest Band 2011’.

‘We are so happy that we won and we dedicate our victory to all Nigerians and others who voted for us. We say a humble thank you for choosing us and we promise not to disappoint you’, B.E.A.T, made up of  Sammie Tochux, Beauty Aghedo, Enid Eyube,  Charity Adubi, Efetobor Ojarigho and Justice Adigho said excitedly after they were pronounced winners.

Having won, members of B.E.A.T band also secured for themselves, a delightful reward package consisting of N3.6 million cash prize, a recording contract worth N7.5 million, a mini-van and one-year free accommodation in Lagos.

The band which is made up of three males and three females join the list of Star Quest winners – KC Presh, D’ Accord, Jewelz, Diamondz, The Pulse and JukeBox.
